Graphite powder is basically used for casting polishing purposes and molding. Natural graphite is mostly used for refractories, batteries, steel making, expanded graphite, brake linings, foundry facings and lubricants. It is also used in pigments, anodes arc-lamp carbons, coating cathode ray tubes and in moderator in nuclear piles. Graphite (carbon) fiber and carbon nanotubes are also used in carbon fiber reinforced plastics.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
