Description

Goat anti-Mouse IgG Fc, Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, Alexa Fluor™ Plus 488 specifically detects the Fc portion of mouse IgG1, mouse IgG2a, and mouse IgG2b with no reactivity to Mouse IgG F(ab)2 fragment and with minimum cross reactivity to Human IgG, Rat IgG and Hamster IgG. The sensitivity and specificity of each lot of Goat anti-Mouse IgG Fc, Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody is confirmed using ELISA and then taken up for conjugation. Superclonal™ recombinant secondary antibodies are produced using a multifaceted clonal selection process that involves several phenotypic screens to ensure enhanced specificity, animal origin free formulation and lot-to-lot consistency. Alexa Fluor™ Plus conjugated recombinant antibodies provide bright signals and high signal-to-noise for your critical experiments. It is recommended that the antibody is carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.

Anti-Mouse secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for mouse immunoglobulins and are useful in the detection, sorting or purification of its specified target. Secondary antibodies offer increased versatility enabling users to use many detection systems (e.g. HRP, AP, fluorescence). They can also provide greater sensitivity through signal amplification as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. Most commonly, secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with a pooled population of immunoglobulins from the target species and can be further purified and modified (i.e. immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation, etc.) to generate highly specific reagents.
