Description

The GM-171 is a sophisticated stereo microscope setup for the inspection of gems and minerals. All GM systems are based on the respective stereo microscope, implementing transmitted/incident illumination dedicated to the specifics of translucent precious stones.

  • The Greenough zoom systems start with a 6.7:1 zoom with 23 mm Field of View
  • Total magnification can be extended with alternative eyepieces up to 20X and auxiliary objectives up to 2X
  • From plain stands without illumination to integrated Halogen/LED equipment for incident and transmitted light: diverse compact solutions for observation and documentation are available
  • Incident illumination: Fluorescent 7 W with Gooseneck adjustable
  • Transmitted illumination: Quartz Halogen 6 V/30 W with intensity control
  • Microscope stand is tiltable from 0° (upright) to 45° to suit individual seating positions and rotatable by 360° to share visual insights
  • Interpupillary distance can be set from 52 to 75 mm, while diopter adjustment on both eyepieces allows an ideal compensation of sight defects and easy use of reticles
