Description
Spectrum™ Chemical FD and C Blue No. 1 is a synthetic dye produced from petroleum. It is used as a coloring agent, biological stain, textile dye, wood stain, and indicator. In cosmetics and personal care products, it is used in the formulation of a wide variety of product types, eye makeup, makeup, lipsticks, nail polishes, personal cleansers and skin care products. It appears as a dark violet to reddish violet, crystalline powder that is water soluble. In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) controls the specifications for food, drug and cosmetic colors.
