Description
Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link TFPA-PEG3-Biotin is an efficient, photoactivatable reagent based on tetrafluorophenyl azide for biotinylation, and which includes a 3-unit polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm.
Highlights:
- Ideal photo-reactive biotin-labeling agent containing the efficient tetraflurophenyl azide (TFPA) moiety
- Fluorinated aryl azide inserts into active carbon-hydrogen bonds (C-H) or unsaturated carbon chains with greater efficiency than non-fluorinated aryl azides
- Hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer contributes to improved solubility of the labeled protein
- Flexible, non-immunogenic PEG spacer imparts a reduced tendency of the labeled protein or peptide to aggregate in solution
- Photoactivation is achieved with a UV lamp that irradiates in the range of 300-370nm (320nm optimum)
