Invitrogen™ Human BLK, His Tag Recombinant Protein
Description
For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. Protein Form: Full Length.
B-lymphoid tyrosine kinase (BLK) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that belongs to the Src family of kinases. BLK plays an important role in B-cell activation. Protein kinases are enzymes that transfer a phosphate group from a phosphate donor, generally the g phosphate of ATP, onto an acceptor amino acid in a substrate protein. By this basic mechanism, protein kinases mediate most of the signal transduction in eukaryotic cells, regulating cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement and cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation.
