GABARAP Polyclonal Antibody, Invitrogen™

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier:  Invitrogen PA118289

Catalog No. 01-670-542

Description

Description

PA1-18289 detects GABARAP from human and rat samples. PA1-18289 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and Western blot procedures. The PA1-18289 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal residues of human GABARAP. The sequence is 100% conserved in mouse and rat. After reconstitution keep aliquots at -20°C for a higher stability, and at 4°C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles. Reconstitute with 100 µL of distilled water.

Gamma-aminobutyric acid A receptors [GABA(A) receptors] are ligand-gated chloride channels that mediate inhibitory neurotransmission. This gene encodes GABA(A) receptor-associated protein, which is highly positively charged in its N-terminus and shares sequence similarity with light chain-3 of microtubule-associated proteins 1A and 1B. This protein clusters neurotransmitter receptors by mediating interaction with the cytoskeleton.
