Description

Description

Thermo Scientific X4T Ventilated Centrifuges offer high performance and versatility with an easy-to-use, full-color touchscreen user interface. The centrifuges make programming easy for quick results and allow easy access to track runs, rotor life, and centrifuge health. With up to 4 L capacity, they allow spinning 196 blood tubes, 40 x 50 mL conical tubes and 96 x 15 mL conical tubes. Maximum versatility is achieved with 18 available rotors to choose from and Thermo Scientific Auto-Lock Rotor Exchange to quickly change between applications. Available for purchase individually or in convenient application-based packages. Cell culture packages include the centrifuge, rotor, Thermo Scientific ClickSeal Biocontainment Lids and a set of four 15 mL and 50 mL conical tube adapters. Blood processing packages include the centrifuge, rotor, ClickSeal biocontainment lids and a set of four 5/7 mL and 9/10 mL blood tube adapters.

Performance features

  • Intuitive touchscreen user interface simplifies operation with easily accessible menu bar and centrifuge health icon for at-a-glance monitoring
  • Thermo Scientific Accumulated Centrifugal Effect (ACE) integrator function for increased reproducibility
  • Thermo Scientific SMARTSpin Imbalance Detection helps optimize safety and maximizes acceleration, braking and residual load imbalance for each rotor and bucket option

Enhanced sustainability

  • Scheduling features promote energy savings and enable pre-programmed start-up of the centrifuge as soon as you arrive in the lab
  • Thermo Scientific Fiberlite Rotors weigh up to 60% less than metal equivalent rotors and therefore accelerate/decelerate faster translating into reduced energy consumption per run
  • Windshielded rotor options, including the Thermo Scientific H-Flex HS4, BioShield 1000A and HIGHPlate 6000 Rotors, enable users to spin tubes, bottles, and plates at higher speeds with less energy than non-windshielded designs
  • Manufactured in a certified zero-waste facility using 100% renewable electricity in Osterode am Harz, Germany

Auto-Lock rotor exchange

  • Secure, ergonomic push-button rotor exchange in as little as three seconds with no tools required
  • Full chamber access for cleaning convenience and helps minimize risk of contamination
  • Flexibility to quickly switch between applications and evolve changing laboratory needs

ClickSeal biocontainment lids

  • Biocontainment sealing options for glove-friendly, one-handed open/close capability are ergonomically designed for both right and left-handed operations
  • Audible and visual closure cues enhance safety and security
  • Biocontainment certification by National Institute for Health Protection, Porton Down, UK or TÜV NORD CERT GmbH, Germany for selected rotors

Rotor versatility and Fiberlite carbon fiber rotors:

  • Up to 18 rotor options, including Fiberlite carbon fiber rotor options, to help maximize performance and flexibility
  • Fiberlite carbon fiber rotors are supported by a 15-year warranty and no limitation in cycles of use
  • Carbon fiber offers ability to mold each cavity to fit disposable conical tubes, bottles, and other consumables
  • Thermo Scientific TX-1000 High-Capacity Rotor has excellent application versatility with a variety of sample containers (bottles, conical bottles, conical tubes, round bottom tubes, blood tubes, microtubes, microplates, blood bags, and cell culture bags). Expand options with use of the BIOLink adapter (75007304), which opens up 17 additional adapter configurations

Safety and ergonomic features

  • Space saving design with compact dimensions to optimize work area at an ergonomic height
  • Lid safety features promote ergonomic sample loading and unloading and enable easy cleaning

Connectivity and data management

  • Event Log, rotor log and chart data can be exported via easily accessible USB in CSV or PDF formats
  • Programs and exported data are downloadable and shareable between units
  • Optional Thermo Scientific SECURE-Spin Mode available, enables advanced and secure control features in the X Series centrifuges by supporting 21 CFR Part 11 data management compliance and traceability
  • Traceable documentation supports audit trail for setting and program changes
  • Compatible with Thermo Scientific Centri-Log Plus Data Management Software enabling remote monitoring of unlimited number of centrifuges and sample tracking with a barcode reader

Compliance and cleanroom ready

  • Class ISO 6 cleanroom compatible for benchtop models
  • Compatible with Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide decontamination
  • General laboratory use, IVD certified, FDA listed options available
