Description
Trypan blue is commonly used in microscopy (for cell counting) and in laboratory mice for assessment of tissue viability. Used in dye exclusion studies in cell culture. A viability dye for quantifying live versus dead cells with permeable membranes, blue. It is also used to identify islet cell cluster cell viability from caprine pancreatic samples. It is also useful to observe hyphea of fungi and Stramenopiles. Trypan blue solution may be used in trypan blue based cytotoxitiy and proliferation assays.
This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
