Tripotassium citrate hydrate is used in food and beverage industries. It finds application as buffering, sequestering or emulsifying agent. It is also used as a potassium source in pharmaceuticals and an active ingredient to treat urinary duct stones. It is added to oral care products to reduce the teeth sensitivity.
