Further, it is used as an antistatic agent, detergent sanitizers, softener for textiles and paper products, emulsifying agents and pigment dispersers. It finds application as curing accelerators. In addition to this, it acts as a phase transfer catalyst in organic synthesis to enhance the reaction rate.
