Description

Versatile high-throughput plant and animal tissue homogenizer/cell lyser with a unique vigorous up-and-down grinding/pulverizing action.

  • Model prepares plant material such as seeds, stems, roots, leaves, fruits, vegetables and animal tissue.
  • Sample preparation is completed in about two minutes with the addition of 1 to 2 grinding balls to the sample along with a buffer solution.
  • Handles two standard deep-well titer plates or multiple sample tubes from 0.6 to 50 mL.
  • LCD screen displays both the full timer setting along with the minutes and seconds remaining in the grinding cycle.
  • Simple controls allow the operator to set the run time and precise vertical grinding speed between 500 and 1750 strokes per minute.
  • Safety interlocks and pneumatic cylinder stabilize the lid for safe operation.
  • Clamping mechanism latches have secondary locking tabs for additional safety.
  • Automated disruption of plant and animal tissue provides reproducibility and increased yields.
  • Elimination of cross-contamination.
  • Replaced by model 2010 Geno/Grinder.
