Description

Correct fitting of a ferrule is very important in column performance.

The ferrule needs to be properly sized and squarely cut using a tubing cutter and the cut should be examined by a magnifier. This is important as column fragments or ferrule particles can contaminate the column. Hence, the column ends are pointed towards the floor during cutting.
