Invitrogen™ Human SGKL (SGK3), GST Tag Recombinant Protein
Description
For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. Protein Form: Recombinant, Catalytic.
SGKL (SGK3) is a serine/threonine protein kinase which is similar to serum- and glucocorticoid-induced protein kinase (SGK). Unlike SGK, SGKL is not induced by serum or glucocorticoids. It is induced in response to signals that activate phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, which is also true for SGK. The protein phosphorylates several target proteins and has a role in neutral amino acid transport and activation of potassium and chloride channels. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
