Sartorius Disposable Stands for Concentrators

Vivapore™ 5 and Vivapore™ 10/20 are a ready-to-use, disposable ultrafiltration devices for samples up to 20 ml initial volume. They are optimally utilized for concentrating macromolecules in clinical specimens such as urine, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or other biological solutions. Two different devices are available: Vivapore™ 5 for concentration of 5 ml samples and Vivapore™ 10/20 for concentration of 10 ml samples expandable with an expansion reservoir to 20 ml. With no need for additional equipment, solvent absorption is the most economic and user friendly concentration technique available for clinical applications. Just fill the unit with the solution to be concentrated, wait for the desired concentration level to be achieved and then pipette the concentrated sample from the dead-stop reservoir at the bottom of the concentrator. Vivapore™ static concentrators are offered as separate chambers together with disposable plastic stands for up to four units. Contrary to other, larger products with multiple, adjacent concentration channels, there is no risk of cross-contamination between individual Vivapore™ units. Vivapore™ 5 and 10/20 are frequently used for urine concentration prior to subsequent analysis of Bence-Jones proteins by gel or capillary electrophoresis.
