1L Two-neck boiling flask, cold finger condenser, condenser jacket, dispersion tube, distillation trap tube, inlet tube and Tygon tubing

For testing soluble and insoluble cyanides in water

Cyanide as hydrocyanic acid (HCN) is released from cyanide complexes by reflux distillation and absorbed in a scrubber containing sodium hydroxide solution.

  • Use for samples of 500mL
  • Reaction/distillation section of apparatus connects to absorption/scrubber section by Tygon™ tubing, reducing set-up time and eliminating a key source of glass breakage
  • Inlet tubes have funnel openings for easier acid addition
