”Add-mix-measure” format results in cell lysis and generation of a luminescent signal proportional to the amount of ATP present. Data can be recorded using a luminometer or CCD camera 10 minutes after adding reagent.

  • Designed for use with 96- or 384-well plates, making the kit ideal for automated high-throughput screening, cell proliferation assays, and cytotoxicity assays
  • Does not require cell washing, media removal, or multiple pipetting steps
  • Detects as few as 15 cells per well in a 384-well format or 50 cells per well in a 96-well format, reducing the number of cells required per assay
  • Luminescent signal has a half-life generally greater than five hours, depending on cell type and medium used, eliminating the need to use reagent injectors and providing the flexibility for continuous or batch mode processing of multiple plates
