Direct Reading Titrator method allows for precise, convenient QAC testing

  • Tests for Quaternary Ammonium Compounds (QACs), such as Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride
  • Range and sensitivity is 0 to 500 ppm in 10 ppm increments
  • Indicator is bromphenol blue

A masked bromphenol blue indicator is added to the sample and turns green. Sodium tetraphenylboron is added to complex the QAC and the color changes to red. This method is best suited to higher QAC concentrations.

For QAC testing in industrial water boiling and cooling, water and wastewater, laundry and sanitation.
