L-Isoleucine methyl ester used for chemical synthesis. E.g. It can also be used to produce 3-methyl-2-(4-nitro-imidazol-1-yl)-pentanoic acid methyl ester. It also finds its use as a pharmaceutical intermediate.

Solubility
Soluble in methanol (50 mg/ml clear, colorless solution).

Notes
Hygroscopic. Keep away from oxidizing agents, water/moisture. Store under inert atmosphere. Keep the container tightly closed and place it in a cool, dry and well ventilated condition. In order to obtain a higher solubility, warm the tube at 37°C and shake it in the ultrasonic bath for a while.
