Behave as ideal neutral spheres. Cytiva™ Ficoll PM70 Centrifugation Media is considered the molecules of choice for studying pore size distribution and the permeability of membranes.

  • High molecular weight (70,000) sucrose-polymer formed by copolymerization of sucrose with epichlorohydrin
  • Highly branched structure and high content of hydroxyl groups mean good solubility in aqueous media with concentrations up to 50% w/v easily attained
  • Displays minimal toxicity, plus favorable viscosity and osmotic properties
  • Low endotoxin levels (<0.12 EU/mg)
