The laser-cut wooden surfaces are connected in stacked formation to create a solid working rotating globe with a hand cranked gear system. When shining a flashlight upon the globe, and turning the lever, the pattern of day and night can be displayed. Since the globe is tilted, when changing the location of the flashlight the different seasons can be demonstrated. The finished device is 19 cm long and 18.5 cm tall. Suggested for a group of 2 to 3 students
