Description

Provides an indication if the TOC (total oxidizable carbon) value of the product water is less than the 5ppb Milli-Q Reference specification limit.

Ideal for organic-contamination–sensitive applications like HPLC.

Adds to the Milli-Q Reference system

  • Provides same specifications, plus the additional analytical precision of TOC value
  • See system specifications for details
  • On-line TOC monitoring detects any significant organic contamination increase in product water
  • Monitoring system correlates accurately with the Millipore A10™ monitor low TOC monitoring range (1 to 10ppb); indicates increase above that range
  • Integrated 185/254nm UV lamp oxidizes neutral organics into charged molecules
  • Facilitates removal by mixed-bed ion-exchange resin in polishing cartridge
  • TOC indicator also measures TOC based on resistivity difference upstream and downstream of UV lamp
  • Proprietary “TOC Curve Check” phase adjust TOC analysis nightly to the organic mix in feedwater; also takes account of UV-variation due to deposits on quartz sleeve surrounding lamp

TOC indicator differs from TOC Monitor A10

  • Indicator monitoring frequency is once per second v. A10 TOC Monitor
  • Accurate detection range is 1 to 30ppb v. A10 TOC Monitor
  • Monitor A10 is calibrated to reference solutions; TOC indicator is not
  • A10 has Certificate of Calibration; TOC indicator does not
  • Indicator has TOC Curve Check feature; not required for A10
  • Suitability test as required by USP: indicator, NO; monitor, YES
