Electric Field Apparatus designed for large-scale demonstrations of Electric Field Shapes.

  • Transparent base designed for use with an overhead projector
  • Includes clear petri dish, transparent base with two terminals, and six electrodes
  • Thumbscrew system alongside terminals allows fine height adjustment of the electrodes
  • Idela for any physics classroom
  • Enables electric fields to be shown in much the same way that magnetic fields are demonstrated with iron filings
  • Transparent base: 6.75 in. wide, 6.75 in. long and 4 in. tall
  • Petri dish: 3.5 in. diameter
  • Includes: Transparent base with two vertical pillars and terminals, transparent petri dish, 6 electrodes
  • Required but not included for demonstration: 5 kV variable high voltage power supply with high internal impedance, leads and crocodile clips, overhead projector (optional), and non-conducting liquid and small grains or seeds
