Sigma Aldrich Divinylbenzene
Description
Divinylbenzene (DVB) is a bis unsaturated monomer. DVB along with styrene as a co monomer is used in producing cross linked polymers. Several examples have reported. Polymerization with high concentrations of DVB produces popcorn polymers.DVB is used in polymeric core shell nanoparticles and as a crosslinking agent. DVB may be used as a monomer for the synthesis of highly crosslinked macroporous styrene/DVB polymers. It may also be used to synthesize monodispersed poly-DVB microspheres.
