Provides all of the reagents required to perform a quick and easy transformation. Alkali-Cation™ Yeast Transformation Kit is easy to use, robust, and its scalability makes it great for the high-efficiency transformation needed in two hours.

  • An efficient, non-electrical method for transforming yeast with linear or plasmid DNA
  • Host cells are made competent by treatment with a Lithium/Cesium Acetate mixture
  • The entire procedure may be completed in less than 90 minutes
  • Routinely provides a transformation efficiency of greater than 104 transformants per μg of DNA
  • Has been successfully used to transform linear DNA into Pichia pastoris for protein expression studies
