Request Information About Sartorius Vivaflow Crossflow Devices

Sartorius™ Vivaflow™ Crossflow Devices are easy to use, and provide performance, flexibility, and economy compared to other crossflow units. They’re also easy to set up and need only a standard peristaltic pump to operate.
Sample Concentration, Diafiltration and Buffer Exchange
Use Vivaflow devices in your research to concentrate or diafilter aqueous samples with volumes from 100mL to 5L. Depending on the volume of the initial sample, they can produce 10- to 50-fold concentrations, usually in less than an hour. They also work well when you need to diafilter and/or perform buffer exchanges for proteins and nanoparticles in biological samples.
Vivaflow cassettes are part of the crossflow device and contain an ultrafiltration membrane. The device is operated by using a standard peristaltic pump to recirculate a sample through the cassettes. The thin-channel, flip-flow recirculation path geometry of all Vivaflow modules provides high crossflow velocities with minimum pump speed requirements of 200 to 400mL/min.
Typical applications and areas of use include:
- Antibody/recombinant protein concentration/diafiltration in biopharma research
- Concentrating small production lots of proteins for diagnostic purposes
- Concentrating viruses from cell culture supernatants or environmental samples
- Nanoparticle concentration
