Provide accurate, reproducible results with the Thermo Scientific™ Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) Ab-2, Mouse Monoclonal Antibody.

VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) is a homodimeric, disulfide-linked glycoprotein involved in angiogenesis which promotes tumor progression and metastasis. It exhibits potent mitogenic and permeability inducing properties specific for the vascular endothelium. Of the four isoforms of VEGF, the smaller two, VEGF165 and VEGF121, are secreted proteins and act as diffusible agents, whereas the larger two (VEGF189 and VEGF206) remain cell associated.

Host Species: Mouse

Clone: 5C3.F8

Isotype: IgG1/κ

Species Reactivity: Human. Others not known.

Epitope: Not determined

Immunogen: Human VEGF from a glioma

Molecular Weight: 19-22kDa (reduced)

Positive Control: VEGF165 recombinant protein

Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic, cell surface and extracellular matrix Ab-2 does not neutralize the bioactivity of VEGF.

Recommended for:

  • Western Blotting (Reduced only)
  • Neutralization of VEGF (Not suitable)
