RuvC Recombinant Protein, RP-4910, from Invitrogen.

E. coli RuvC protein is a structurally specific endonuclease which binds specifically to the Holliday structure, an intermediate of recombination, at the late stage of homologous recombination and recombination repair and introduces a nick in the symmetrical point of the Holliday junction cleaving and resolving the recombinant. The product is a recombinant protein abundantly expressed by E. coli and purified by methods such as chromatography. Its molecular weight is 19 kDa and forms a dimer in liquid and in binding state with the Holliday structure.
Host Species: E. Coli
Formulation: 20μg purified protein (13mg/mL) in TBS with 50% glycerol, 5mM beta mercaptoethanol, 2mM EDTA and no preservative; pH 7.5
RP-4910 can be used as a positive control in Western blotting, as well as in studies in studies on homologous recombination mechanism. RP-4910 calculated molecular weight is ∽19 kDa. Purity is 90%.
