DescriptionStoddard solvent, also known as mineral spirits, white spirit, petrolelum naptha, or paint thinner is a petroleum distillate used as a common solvent in paints, varnishes and asphalt, and in degreasing and dry cleaning. It is a mixture of aliphatic and alicyclic C7 to C12 hydrocarbons.

Flammable liquid and vapor. May cause central nervous system effects. May cause irritation of respiratory tract. Aspiration hazard if swallowed - can enter lungs and cause damage. May cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Use personal protective equipment. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention. Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
