Applications
Broad spectrum protein kinase inhibitor Staurosporine is used as anti-fungal and anti-hypertensive, which results to study the anti-cancer treatment. It acts as a precursor to protein kinase inhibitor midostaurin. It is also used to induce cell death in Swiss Webster primary macrophage cells and to study the effect of caspase activation on human sperm quality.

Solubility
Soluble in DMSO or ethanol.Soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide , dimethyl formamide, ethyl acetate, hot acetone and ethanol. Slightly soluble in chloroform and methanol. Insoluble in water.

Notes
Store in a cool place. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
