Serotonin Hydrochloride is used as a neurotransmitter and function as an endogenous serotonin receptor agonist in various biochemical processes. It is an active component, which is used to regulate the mood, emesis, cognition and appetite in vivo.

Solubility
Soluble in water, alcohol, hydrochloric acid and dimethyl sulfoxide. Insoluble in ether and chloroform.

Notes
Store in a cool place. Light sensitive and hygroscopic. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
