Sartorius™ Vivacon™ 500 DNA Concentrator
Manufacturer: Sartorius™ VN01H33
Description
For up to 500 μL, Vivacon™ 500 are centrifugal units for fast DNA concentration and buffer exchange of 500 μL samples. They are also the product of choice for protein fractionation applications. The use of Hydrosart™ membranes results in high recoveries from dilute samples.
Vivacon 500 are centrifugal devices for DNA concentration and buffer exchange applications for samples up to 500μL. They are also the product of choice for protein fractionation applications in this volume range. For optimal performance with very diluted samples, e.g. forensic specimens, Vivacon 500 is equipped with patented Hydrosart™ regenerated cellulose membranes with extremely low unspecific binding properties and high flux. High recoveries and excellent reproducibility are paired with convenience offered by volume graduation and molecular weight cut-offs printed on individual devices. Vivacon 500 features a horizontal membrane design optimal for DNA fractionation (primer removal) as well as protein fractionation (peptide removal). The possibility of a reverse spin after sample processing assures complete concentrate recovery which is especially important when working with low sample concentrations.
- Convenient handling in fixed-angle rotors
- Low binding material
- Reverse spin possibility
- MWCO printed on
- Complete and highly reproducible concentrate recovery
