Receive excellent qPCR performance in a tiny footprint with the Thermo Scientific™ PikoReal™ Real-Time PCR System, ideal for personal use. Because of its small size, extremely-low energy consumption and durable design, it is also suitable for field applications.
The system is available in two different configurations for use with Thermo Scientific™ Piko™ plates: PikoReal 24-Well System for use with 24-well PCR plates and standard 8-well strips and PikoReal 96-Well System for use with 96-well PCR plates.

Superior thermal performance:

The unique block design (patent pending) of the PikoReal system combined with precise temperature control brings confidence to your qPCR. Superior thermal performance ensures reliable, reproducible quantification results. Five optical channels facilitate multiplexing.


Stand-alone or PC control:

The PikoReal qPCR system is controlled by PikoReal software, which allows remote monitoring of any qPCR experiment online from your own computer. Alternatively, you can save the qPCR protocol on a USB stick and load to the PikoReal instrument for stand-alone use.
PikoReal software include modules for absolute and relative quantification, melting curve analysis, allelic discrimination and High Resolution Melting (HRM). Advanced algorithms provide effortless data normalization without the need for an external reference dye.


Reduced plastic and reagent consumption:

A uniquely designed heating block and a small plate format allow significant savings both in plastics and reagent consumption to reduce the cost of your research and produce less plastic waste.
Piko PCR Plates are only a quarter of the size of a conventional microplate, but they maintain industry-standard spacing and sample capacity. They are compatible with standard multichannel pipettes, reagent dispensers and automated liquid handling systems.
