Designed for use by first responders and first receivers, ISO-POD isolates individuals potentially contaminated with contagious diseases such as SARS, avian flu, hepatitis and TB. The unit safely holds patients in any emergency room, non-isolation room or corridor and can be used for intra/inter hospital transport. When connected to the HEPA air filtration system, the ISO-POD creates a negative air pressure environment to protect staff. The unit can also be configured to create a positive pressure environment to cool and protect burn or immune-compromised patients. Three models available.

  • Heavy-duty, pucture-resistant, reinforced white PVC construction with clear-view vinyl windows and full-length zipper
  • Five flexible arches spaced along the length of the unit maintain the pod space to ensure adequate work/patient space
  • 4 in. wide gloved access points allow staff to treat patient
  • 2 in. wide nylon belt with four hand grips on each side enables staff to transport and manuver a patient while inside the ISO-POD
  • External restraint straps secure unit to gurney for transport; Advantage model (19-150-1142) also includes internal restraints to help maintain patient
  • Pass-thru ports provide entry for objects into the unit; service ports provide exit points for IV and oxygen lines from the unit
  • 6cfm blower unit provides 21 nominal air exchanges per hour
