Each device features a small foot-print for space saving, and a built-in power supply.

  • E-Base™ comes with power cord that can be connected directly to an electrical outlet and is used for electrophoresis of one gel
  • Each E-Base™ device has power/program button and timer button on lower right side for controlling electrophoresis run
  • Lower left side of each device contains lighted LED and digital timer display (00-99) that indicates where gel is in running process
  • Two programs are pre-set in E-Base devices, one each for E-Gel and E-PAGE™ gels E-PAGE 96 gel is not compatible with older models of devices (E-Gel™ 96 mother and daughter bases)
  • Older models cannot be used in combination with Mother and Daughter E-Basetrademark (TM) devices
  • E-Gel 48 Medium Throughput DNA Electrophoresis System and E-Gel™ 48 gels are ready-to-use, precast agarose gels designed for medium throughput analysis of PCR products and DNA fragments
  • All E-Gel gels include a gel matrix and electrodes packaged inside a disposable, UV-transparent cassette
  • E-Gel 48 gels are incorporated with ethidium bromide, and contain 2 rows of wells, with 24 sample wells and 2 marker wells per row
