Invitrogen™ Human SLC7A8 (aa 1-40) Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (74%), Rat (74%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-62519 (PA5-62519. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
SLC7A8 is sodium-independent, high-affinity transport of large neutral amino acids. It has higher affinity for L-phenylalanine than LAT1 but lower affinity for glutamine and serine. L-alanine is transported at physiological concentrations. SLC7A8 also plays a role in basolateral (re)absorption of neutral amino acids.
