Vitamin B9. A B-complex vitamin necessary for the body to produce red blood cellsFolic acid acts as a vitamin (hematopoietic), a nutritional supplement and dietary requirement for poultry. Solubility
Soluble in sodium hydroxide, acetic acid, phenol, pyridine, alkali hydroxides, carbonates, hot dilute hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. Slightly soluble in water, methanol, ethanol and butanol. Insoluble in acetone, chloroform, ether and benzene.

Notes
Light and heat sensitive. Incompatible with heavy metal ions, strong oxidizing agents and strong reducing agents.
