Merging science and literacy, students are required to be critical and active readers as they conduct their own investigation. Teacher-created activity facilitates the execution of NSES scientific literacy standards.
Students begin with an introduction to the crime and evaluation of the crime scene photos, and then investigate, extract and analyze key information; formulate hypotheses; deduce the murderer's identity from among a number of interesting suspects and finally, recreate the murder event and finger the murderer.
