  • Combines the fluorescence blocking capabilities of the BD Falcon™ FluoroBlok™ membrane with the benefits of an extracellular matrix protein
  • Provides a predictive in vitro model for screening pro- and anti-angiogenic agents
  • Eliminates tedious manual cell scraping and counting
  • Fibronectin concentration and coating procedure have been optimized so the pores of the membrane are not obstructed, allowing endothelial cells to attach to the membrane and freely migrate toward an angiogenic stimulus in the receiver plate
  • Cells may be labeled with a fluorescent dye either pre- or post-migration and quantified using a fluorescence microplate reader
  • Light-tight membrane blocks the transmission of light within the 490 to 700nm range, shielding fluorescently labeled cells in the top of the insert from detection by a bottom-reading microplate reader and allowing for real-time detection without dismantling the insert
  • Tested for the ability to support migration of HUVEC (human umbilical vein endothelial cells) in response to VEGF (vascular endothelial cell growth factor)
  • Automation compatible
  • Stable for at least three months when stored at -20°C
