Description

Description

Description: This VIM8 antibody reacts with the desialylated asialoganglioside of human CD65. This type 2 fucosylated carbohydrate antigen is expressed on the surface of all myeloid cells during development. Moreover, CD65 is expressed highly on granulocytes and weakly on monocytes in peripheral blood. CD65 has been reported to be a ligand for CD62E (E-Selectin). However, the sialylated form of CD65 (designated CD65s) can be used as a marker for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) as its expression increases as CD34 decreases. Finally, CD65 is important for extravascular infiltration of AML cells. Applications Reported: This VIM8 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This VIM8 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at 5 μL (0.25 μg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 520 nm; Laser: Blue Laser. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.
