Description

TWEAK is a member of the TNF family and was first described as a weak inducer of apoptosis in demonstrate that this relatively small molecule is a fully transformed cell lines. Recently, a receptor for TWEAK was isolated by expression cloning from a HUVEC cell cDNA library. TweakR is a small protein belonging to TNF receptor super family. TweakR is capable of intiating a proliferative signal by biding to TRAF1, 2, and 3. TweakR mRNA is upregulated during tissue regeneration in aorta and liver. It may also play a role in vascular cell migration and angiogenesis.

Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Endotoxin: Less than 0.001 ng/ug antibody as determined by the LAL assay. Storage and handling: Use in a sterile environment. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin Level: Less than 0.001 ng/μg antibody, as determined by LAL assay. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.
