Description
For micro-observation and applications requiring physical access to cells or tissue: microinjection, electrostimulation, wounding, micromanipulation, mechanical probing, recording, and stimulation
- Accurate temperature control, uniform heat distribution, and high-numeric-aperture compatibility
- Works in confocal applications; adapts to specimens from monolayered adherent cells to tissue preparations, with inverted, water-immersion, and upright microscopes
- System passes ∽0.9w electrical charge through thin indium tin-oxide coating on underside of glass substrate where cells are grown, transferring heat through glass to cells
- Thermal regulation via instantaneous analog control of a feedback loop
- No peripheral heating: cells are unaffected by surface evaporation, heat is not lost to the atmosphere
- After plating, cells are ready for incubation or time-lapse imaging
- Controller has real-time temperature display (ambient to 50°C, accuracy ±0.1°C); compensates for surface evaporation
- Alarmed protection circuit safeguards cells. Dimensions: 151/2L x 6W x 3 in. H (39.4 x 15.2 x 7.6cm). Operates on 100–240V 50/60Hz or 24V battery
Delta T Culture Dish options
- Disposable polystyrene/glass dishes are available plain (when temperature control is not needed) or with electrically conductive, optically transparent coating and silver bus bars; 6mm depth optimizes access for microinjection and manipulation
- Contain self heating ITO coating, which provides first surface heat transfer directly to cells when using Delta T System
- Injection molded polystyrene sidewalls and lid, coverglass bottom
- Highest quality German Desag 263, low alkaline coverglass for optimum resolution
- O.D., 35mm, tapering to 23mm optical aperture
- Glass thickness of 0.17mm
- Available in clear and black; for fluorescence imaging, select black culture dishes
- Numerous accessories specific to these dishes allow for specialized applications including - media perfusion, gas perfusion, sample positioning, heating and cooling
- Optional stage adapters available to fit all major brands of microscopes, which custom stage adapters available
- Optional culturing cylinders may be used to barricade cells or suspended specimens in a dish; or to restrict and concentrate growth and location of cells plated on coverslip without use of grease
