Applications
1-Adamantanamine acts as a catalyst in enantioselective strecker reaction of phosphinoyl imines. It is also useful for making adamantane derivatives, i.e. amantadine hydrochloride. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry as antiviral and an antiparkinsonian drug.

Solubility
Soluble in organic solvents. Insoluble in water.

Notes
Use only in a chemical fume hood. Keep away from sources of ignition. Incompatible with oxidizing agent.
