Applications
1,5-Diphenylcarbazide is used in the colorimteric determination of chromium, osmium as well as in the detection of cadmium, mercury, magnesium, emetine and aldehydes.

Solubility
Soluble in glacial acetic acid, alcohol and acetone. Slightly soluble in water.

Notes
Air and light sensitive. Keep the container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
